ALT Sales: Our History

Founded in 1964 as a member of the ALL Family of Companies, ALT Sales Corp. is dedicated to sales and service of boom truck cranes and other equipment.

ALT Sales, much like ALL Aerials and ALL Tower Cranes, is a stand-alone division of the ALL Erection & Crane Rental Company, but draws from the complementary resources and buying power of the entire ALL Family of Companies.

Why the dedicated division? ALT Sales customers benefit from our committed sales, service, and maintenance staff. Our focus on boom truck sales, rentals, and leasing makes us a trusted resource for the core markets in which our products are used, from utilities and forestry to general contractors, sign erectors, roofers, crane rental operations, specialty services, and precast and brick/block industries.

Tracing our roots.

In 1964, the Liptak brothers-Michael, Larry, and Jake-began a family company that grew into an entire family of companies: ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. The brothers, along with Michael's wife, Marvine, had begun to recognize they could fill a need for contractors who, until that time, usually owned their own equipment-and all the headaches and expense of maintaining it. The brothers bought a crane and began renting it. Then they grew the fleet with cranes and trucks they bought and sold at auctions, and a family business was born.

By creating the new category-crane rental-and backing it with hard work, reliable products, and outstanding customer service, they believed they had laid the foundation for a company that would stand the test of time.

Today, ALL Erection is the largest privately owned crane sales and rental company in North America. The company comprises 30 locations in the United States and Canada-a world-class organization with over 1,400 dedicated employees and thousands of satisfied customers.

ALL offers its fleet of cranes, aerial work platforms, boom trucks, material handlers, and other lift equipment from strategically important locations, providing equipment rental, sales, service, and jobsite analysis to help customers get the right equipment for the job. An important measure of their commitment is meeting or exceeding all pertinent regulatory and safety standards.
